Spin Out (Dave and Buster’s) – Tips and Tricks to Win Every Time

  • by

Spin Out seems like a game of luck; or that it is rigged like other spin wheel arcade games. Stop the wheel and the arrows go wherever they want, seemingly random. But, with knowing the right tips, you can win lots of tickets playing this arcade game.

Know the Basics of Spin Out

There are two arrows that spin around on the Spin Out wheel: a blue one and a red one.

You hit the button and both arrows will slowly come to a stop.

The blue arrow stops on a ticket value (10, 20, 50, 100). The red arrow stops on a multiplier (1x, 2x, 3x, 10x).

The ticket number is multiplied by the red arrow multiplier to get your final ticket winnings.

The Spin Out machine has the most 10 ticket slots and 1x slots.

There are only two slots for 100 tickets and 10x and they are really small compared to the rest. This makes it so you are least likely to land on the higher ticket amounts.

The highest ticket jackpot would give you 1000 tickets.

Spin Out costs 10 chips to play at Dave and Buster’s.

In the Spin Out manual, there are some settings that are important to know on page 3.

The game time can be changed but the default is 30 seconds. That means you have 30 seconds to press the button before the arrows automatically stop.

There is a rigged payout percentage setting. This means that the arcade location can change how often the 1000 ticket jackpot can be won.

For example, if a jackpot of 1000 tickets was just won, then the next time the game is played it will make it impossible to land on the 100 tickets with the blue arrow. It will be impossible to win until enough money has been spent on the machine.

In the manual, it says that this payout percentage is set to 40% by default. It is hard to say exactly what this means or how much money needs to be spent to allow a jackpot. Just be aware that it exists, especially for the next tip.

Use the Timing Trick to Always Land on 100 Tickets

There is a simple trick where you can always get the blue arrow to land on 100 tickets.

Hit the stop button when you see the blue arrow on the 10 ticket slot in the top left of the wheel or a little before that. The spot you want to hit is almost right in between the 50 and 10 ticket slots (see picture below).

If you got the timing correct, then the blue around should slow down a few slots over and stop right on the small 100 ticket slot.

The 100 ticket slot is the smallest. It might take some adjusting and fine tuning to time exactly. Play again and stop either before or after where you just hit if you missed the 100 ticket slot the first time.

With some practice, you should be able to use this tip to hit 100 tickets with the blue arrow every time.

While we can predict where the blue arrow will end up, it is almost impossible to plan where you want the red arrow to stop. That is why you should just worry about timing the blue arrow with this trick because you know where it can stop and this gives you the most tickets consistently.

The red arrow will be random where it stops. Most often it will stop on 1x or 2x multipliers so you will get 100 or 200 tickets a lot of the time with this trick. But you always have a chance that it could hit 3x or 10x multiplier which could give you 300 or 1000 tickets!

But….remember the payout that I mentioned before. If you use this trick and the blue arrow does not land on the 100 tickets no matter how well you think you timed it, then the Spin Out machine is most likely not allowing a big win because of the rigged payout system. The blue arrow will look like it almost skips over the 100 slot. Stop wasting your money and come back on a different day to play.

Another tip with the payout is that if you luckily win 1000 tickets by hitting the 10x with the red arrow, then do not keep playing. The game will most likely not allow the blue arrow to hit 100 tickets after it has given out 1000 tickets the game before.

Play the Spin Out Arcade Game for Cheaper

Because Spin Out is a more expensive game to play, you will want to play it for as cheap as possible.

You can do this at Dave and Buster’s by playing on Half-off Wednesday. So instead of costing 10 chips, it will only cost 5.

Another way to save money is to use Dave and Buster’s coupons and deals to buy chips. The link provided will help you find ways to do this.

The average amount of tickets that you get when playing Spin Out and using this trick is around 150 tickets per play. If you used Dave and Buster’s coupons or played on Half-off Wednesday, then you should be getting your money back in tickets, plus a bit more.

It is worth it to play Spin Out doing the timing trick, especially with the bonus of a chance to win the big jackpot of 1000 tickets.
